About testimonials
What a testimonial is
Section titled “What a testimonial is”A testimonial is a client’s own words about your firm. Recorded here, it becomes reusable evidence: quotable in a pitch, submittable to a directory, and attributable to the person who said it.
Why testimonials matter
Section titled “Why testimonials matter”Client feedback is the most persuasive material in any pitch, and one of the few things directories cannot verify from public sources. But testimonials arrive unpredictably — in a closing email, at the end of a call, in passing at an event — and are almost always lost unless captured immediately.
The recurring failure is not a lack of praise. It is that the praise was never written down, and by submission season nobody can remember the wording or who said it.
