What a specialist is
Section titled “What a specialist is”A specialist is a fee earner your firm puts forward — on pitches, on directory submissions, and in rankings. It is a profile, not an account: a specialist can exist in KLERQ without ever signing in.
That distinction is why creating one starts with a choice. Create new account sets up someone who is not in KLERQ at all. Link existing account attaches a specialist profile to a colleague who already has a login.
Why specialists matter
Section titled “Why specialists matter”Specialists are how credit flows through the system. Matters credit them, testimonials praise them, submissions nominate them, and directories rank them individually as well as ranking the firm.
A specialist record that is thin — no practices, no role, no join date — cannot be submitted properly, because the questions directories ask are exactly the fields that were skipped.
